Bon Voyage

the time has come

I recently sent out a newsletter via my online massage booking platform steered towards my clients who book with me regularly. Unfortunately, it landed in spam for many of them. My apologies to those who missed the following information who would have wanted it.…..

Hello, all. I am finally reaching out to offer an update on massage and beekeeping. The truth is, back in late March/early April, Billy and I decided that we were ready to fully commit to a move to Panama. There have been months of preparation for this, a slew of logistics and puzzle pieces to put together, and while there are still loose ends happening, I know it is imperative for me to share this news with you now. Ideally it would have been sooner, but alas, these transitions are complex to navigate. I will be closing the doors to my personal studio at the end of September, and we will be wrapping up our time at the market at that point as well. Please reach out for referrals for massage, or any other questions you might have.

This is obviously a massive transition, but it is also something that we have been weighing for the past three years, and has never left the realm of possibility. That said, it doesn’t mean that we don’t realize it is also a big change for those we are leaving, and we are sensitive to that fact. I cannot thank my clients enough for the support through the years. For the past twenty years, I have cultivated some great relationships that I will always feel gratitude for.

Kansas, you have my heart. Nothing compares to the land and the people I come from. Generations of quilting, the deep rooted prairie and her medicinal plants, running western goods and cowboy shops, robbing banks (yes, I am descended from the Dalton Gang), Sunday matinees at Liberty Hall, church basement casseroles, white farm houses, deafening thunderstorms, and summer tomatoes. Your spirit lives in me and I love you, Kansas.

This is a highly edited version of what I originally wrote. I have been weighing my options for how I communicate going forward, and I think I will keep this platform for newsletters if anyone wants to follow along, but I will most likely hop into Substack soon a well. As usual, I have big ideas about life going forward. Stay in touch!

Love,
Cara
