Dreaming With Bees
don't forget your daydreams
NEW SERVICES AVAILABLE AT THE HOMESTEAD
“From the deep cave of creation, The Dreamer's threads weave our stories into being. Carried between the dreaming world and the waking world by our sisters, the honey bees, dreams serve as messages from our subconscious, from our collective knowing, and from the spirit world. As ancient allies who freely travel between the worlds, honey bees offer us a gateway into the dreaming universe. Revered throughout time and history, the honey bee has long ties with the sacred feminine, priestesshoods of ancient Greece, and folk traditions across Europe.”
Ariella Daly of Honey Bee Wild
Last year while I took a little break from the routine of our rushed society, I was able to spend some time focusing on several classes, one of the them being Dreaming With Bees with the wonderful Ariella Daly. In my cocoon of a structure I lived in with it’s thick earthen walls, post and beam ceilings, thatched roof and flagstone floors, I met with a “hive” of women via phone (not Zoom, thankfully) to mirror each others dreams and subconscious. In the dark, we closed our eyes, slowed way the hell down, discussed and dissected what our dreams might be telling us. That time was one of the best gifts I ever gave myself, even through the frustrations of losing signal, which happened all the time in the jungle! A lot transpired, including using this knowledge and creativity to create a business plan for another course I took while being in the jungle for my Capstone Project for the Transformational Travel Council. It was to be named Tesoro, which means honey pot or treasure in Latin. Tesoro would have been many things, but namely, a place to restore oneself with the abundance of nature and sleeping with the bees on our Panamanian property. Yes, you read that right. In many cultures - mostly the Balkans, the Baltic’s, but also the Yucatan - cultures that honor the bee - also create sleeping quarters and spaces to receive apitherapy services. Don’t worry, you don’t actually share a bed with them. They are housed in their own space, while the bed platforms are above or beside the bee homes. The vibrational hum of the bees, in addition to the pure and powerful medicine they bring are pure magic. I was in conversation recently about this, and it reminded me to not let my dreams dissolve.

While I cannot bring you Tesoro right now, I can bring you what I call Dreaming With Bees Massage. I have been thinking about this since last summer and am glad I have a space to share it now. I have done my best to create a private, quiet space to drop out and tune in. This is also perfect for those who need extra recovery time post massage and to ensure your time on the table is quiet and reflective.

Billy and I are heading to the Twin Cities in a month for some much needed R&R at a sauna festival called Banya Fest. Ya’ll, we haven’t gone farther than a trip to Costco in over a year now and I have to say I CANNOT WAIT for this much anticipated reprieve. I’m going to bring back all the sauna inspiration.
